We deliver different kinds of slurry systems for a quick discharge of slurry. For every specific situation, we determine which system is the best option and we’ll give advice about the right place of the inlet openings and the dimensioning of the pipes and inlet openings. When we design the system we consider the slope, pit capacity and (net) volume of the pump pit. To calculate the capacity of the pump pit, we use a special calculation program. In this program we also think about the supply capacity of the pipe, the capacity of the pump and the buffer capacity.
Jovas vacuum slurry system with central valve
In this system the pipe has an open connection with the T-pieces and the bend below the slurry and/or water channel. The T-pieces and bend will be customized and provided with sanding. The glue that’s used for the sanding is a 2-component glue, which doesn’t form air bubbles, such as is the case with 1-component glue. By using the 2-component glue, the sanding is attached to the PVC very well.
By opening the central valve (lockable valve or sliding valve), the pipe will be opened and emptied. The lockable valve is provided with a nylon ring for locking the stop. This valve is managed by turning and pulling the stainless steel cap, using a special managing hook. This stainless steel cap is attached to a stainless steel rod with plug. When the valve is completely opened, the plug will seal off the top, so no false air can come into the pipe. This way the vacuum is retained.
This valve is customized (including slope) and the used stainless steel is stainless steel 316 and resistant to heavy loads.
To read the information about the sliding valve, please take a look at products/wall valves & sliding valves.
Slurry discharge systems with plug in the inlet opening
We deliver these systems in the diameters Ø160mm up to and including Ø315mm with inlet openings from Ø160mm up to and including Ø400mm. The insert valves, T-pieces and bends are customized, taking into account slope and floor thickness, among others things. For Ø250mm we have had our own mold made and for all the systems, we can also deliver customized saddle pieces, with or without sanding.
The type of plug we use depends on the application. We have plugs for a reduction that is glued in a T-piece/bend/saddle (plug type 1, green) and plugs which close up a hole in a concrete floor or the end of a pipe (plug type 3, red). With every type we deliver a, 240mm long, stainless steel triangle hook, which can be used to lift up the plug using a stainless steel managing hook. Different shapes and lengths are available on request. To prevent the plugs from coming off the hole, they need to be filled with concrete. If desired, we can take care of that for you.
